This 62,250 s.f. brick building was designed as both the corporate headquarters and exclusive research and development facility for Altek Corporation, a worldwide leader in electronic digitizing equipment. The Montgomery County site, carefully selected for its location, posed unforeseen problems in terms of building layout because of the property's designation as "environmentally sensitive." Through skillful application of master planning and design techniques, Altek's preferred program was implemented on substantially less property than had initially been anticipated. It resulted in a setting with considerable aesthetic appeal.
